New Projects

One of the most critical times for any organization is the early planning period for a major capital building project, before preliminary design has begun. In this period, the practical experience of a facility operator is usually not considered because it is too early to hire a director.

Simple and, in hindsight, obvious mistakes are often made at this time, and by the time a director is hired it may be too late or too costly to correct them. A few days of project review by an experienced facility manager early on, and preferably before the architectural program has been set, is an extremely cost efficient way to avoid problems down the road.

Michael Hardy Management offers a range of planning and management services for new projects. But, most importantly, it offers the perspective and experience of a seasoned President & CEO during the critical period of planning before most organizations can afford to hire permanent staff. Hardy has worked closely with a wide variety of boards, community and political leaders and technical consultants from all areas of the field. He can make an important contribution to your project and brings perception, negotiating skills, effective management, diplomacy and sensitivity to multiple agendas to help ensure its success.
